Inter Regionals

On Saturday 19th March, 12 of our Junior Players attended the Under 15 Inter Regional Qualifications Competition at Draycott Table Tennis Club. This was a competitive event with players aiming to qualify to represent East Midlands in the Regional Finals.

Players from Blitz Table Tennis Club were:

Under 11 Boys: Naveen Sanghi

Under 11 Girls: Willow Dukes

Under 13 Boys: Micah Smith, Levi Weaver, Ethan Houghton

Under 13 Girls: Martha Wild

Under 15 Boys: Joel Smith, Teddy Heather, Will Short, David Melling, Harry Hollingsworth, Josh Taylor.

Players from our club had a successful event with Joel Smith winning the under 15 boys event and Willow Dukes being the runner up of the under 11 girls in her first competition.

We are pleased to announce that after the event, 5 players from Blitz Table Tennis Club were selected to represent the region of East Midlands at the Regional Finals. The following players were selected to represent their age group in the following events:

Naveen Sanghi: Under 11 Boys

Willow Dukes: Under 11 Girls

Micah Smith: Under 13 Boys

Martha Wild: Under 13 Girls

Joel Smith: Under 15 Boys

We would like to wish them all good luck in the regional finals and hope they all enjoy the opportunity.
