Chris Gamble finished with strong figures of 7 out of 12 at his first ever competitive competition and if it wasn’t for playing possibly the strongest team in the tournament last, it could well have been even better. The club travelled to the local Market Rasen Division of the national junior league last Sunday with the 3^rd and 4^th teams. For a lot of the players it was their first competitive competition, so the club wasn’t expecting anything special from any of the players, but for Chris it was a good strong first performance. Playing alongside Ryan Mitchell and Harry Tomlinson, as a team they struggled, however, all three lads played some really good table tennis from time to time, and all finished on personal stats that wouldn’t disgrace even the most experienced of players. For the 4^th team, again with majority of the team playing in their first competition, they all did extremely well. Daniel Davies was the back bone of the team, producing performance after performance with Tom and James Longstaff chipping in with a couple. The next day of the NJL at Market Rasen is on Sunday 11^th December. All should be hoping to produce similar performances with the emphasis being on gaining experience from such a competition.
